“The moon is jealous of you tonight. Your alluring charm and intoxicating beauty have immured me as a prisoner; I didn’t even glance once at the moon tonight!” ~ Avijeet Das
Sophie Rose Bridal launched their debut collection earlier this year and has been described as ‘effortless, ethereal gowns for the contemporary bride’ and that is exactly what the new collection embodies.
The Sophie Rose Bridal 2019 Collection debuts from finding inspiration around the spirit of nature. From the rolling oceans in autumn, to the calm, falling blossom in spring, this collection takes on the sense one feels when in these environments; calm, free and graceful – the way Sophie wants her brides to feel when wearing one of her exquisite designs.
The Sophie Rose collection comprises of six designs; Wren, Zinnia, River, Ivy, Luna and Peony. Each dress can be interchanged and adapted with elements from across the collection, ensuring each bride has the perfect, hand crafted dress of their choice with no compromise.
For a number of years, Sophie has worked closely alongside Sophie Cranston, designer and founder of luxury fashion label Libelula. As well as the work with Libelula, Sophie has freelanced for the past few years as a dressmaker at a bridal boutique close to her home in Hampshire, where she has honed her skills to create high quality wedding dresses. During this time, she saw a gap in the market for beautifully crafted, luxury gowns that would evoke a sense of confidence and comfort for the women who wear them.
Say hello to your Grecian dress of dreams! Wren is a wrap style gown that is made from the most exquisite Ivory slipper satin that moves like water. The bodice features delicate lace edging, that adds it a feminine edge. It is made with a gathered skirt and features a waist tie, to show off your gorgeous shape.
Wren features a slit in the skirt, but can also be made without this option. This version of Wren is made without a train, but can also be added if you wish. Support is provided through the built in cups that are sat within the lining of the bodice, making this dress so comfortable to wear and like a second skin.
Please welcome the most perfect wedding gown to make you feel the ultimate boho bride. Ivy has a plunging v bodice paired with delicate, silky chiffon sleeves that gives a little coverage, whilst keeping a feminine feel. The sleeves are finished off at the cuffs with a single button and lace detailing highlights your gorgeous waist.
Ivy has a high back with a zip closure and built in cups for all the support you need. The skirt has a small train that will have you swishing all day long!
Zinnia is for the ultimate beach babe. The full circle skirt and train gives this gown some serious drama, whilst having a luxurious, floaty feel by being made in this gorgeous blush crepe. It features a plunging v bodice with cami style straps and an open back. It has size-adjustable ties for the back so can be tied by tying in a secure bow/knot at back or they can also wrap round the front and tie there.
Support is provided through the back ties and built in cups for the bust. As gorgeous as Zinnia is in the blush crepe, this may not have been your dream colour so it can also be made in classic Ivory.
Having always known what I wanted it was important to find someone who would completely understand and be sympathetic to what is an exciting and emotional time! Together, we had a great time through fittings and creating which, resulted in a masterpiece and me feeling perfect in my beautifully hand & tailor-made dress. Thank you so so much xxx

We wanted our wedding to have some element of connection to a part of our lives. We also wanted a venue which would be unusual and memorable for our guests. That’s when Boon started thinking about the possibility of having it at Winchester College, where he spent many happy years at school.
