About

I’m married to the love of my life, Will who works along side me at Natasha Jay Photography. I love to explore new places, to sing at the top of my voice, and laugh with friends.  My favourite way to spend an evening is taking a long walk with my husband with a flask of hot chocolate, down to our local country park.

I believe in genuine moments over perfection. What ever I am photographing, I am looking to tell a story that captures those fleeting moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.  I believe in love and family, and I feel this makes me better at what I do,  because I photograph from the heart.

I’m an impulsive, romantic with an optimistic outlook and a slightly dark sense of humour. I love travelling without knowing where I am going, daydreaming and people watching, but most of all laughing at nothing with my brilliant, if not slightly grumpy husband.

My passion has always been art and photography, but it took me most of my life to get the courage to really pursue it! Since then I have never looked back!  Now, after 4 years of being in business for myself as a wedding and portrait photographer, I feel I have finally found my voice as an artist and as a brand!!  I love those organic moments that unfold between people, those little traits that make us each unique. I love telling the story of a moment in time, and finding that connection between people that you only see if you really look!

I really don’t think I could write a review good enough to express how great Tash is. From start to finish she was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. She constantly went out of her way to make the engagement shoot and wedding day perfect.  On the wedding day her and her husband Will were just great. We didn’t feel like we were being photographed, we felt like they were our friends taking photos of us, which made us so much more relaxed.  The photographs were fantastic, they were so beautiful and also we couldn’t believe the feel of the day was also captured so well. We will be using Tash for many many years to come for our family photographs and life events to be captured.  July 2017

How to prevent SAD (seasonal affective disorder) from impacting you and your business

How to prevent SAD (seasonal affective disorder) from impacting you and your business

SAD, or seasonal affective disorder is a form of depression which people experience during specific times of the year. As you know I have been away from the house spending a significant amount of time in hospital with Sam.  All of this time I was without access to the simple things I have used to counteract a condition I have struggled with for a number of years.

We wanted our wedding to have some element of connection to a part of our lives. We also wanted a venue which would be unusual and memorable for our guests. That’s when Boon started thinking about the possibility of having it at Winchester College, where he spent many happy years at school.
