Venue to be confirmed, 28th March 2019
I’ve been thinking a lot about my book club lately, and how its never quite gotten off the ground. It’s always something that I have felt needs justifying, or explaining. Made even worse by skimming over an article recently stating, “reading had become too social and how it should be a private experience”. What a bunch of bananas.
“Some of the busiest people on our planet are also avid readers. Reading sparks your creativity, helps you grow your understanding of complex problems. It grows you intellectually, while at the same time, reading is a very relaxing activity. But how do we make time to read? News articles report that we are reading less and less.

About the book
Seth Godin is a superstar in the marketing world. This is Marketing is interesting and useful for anyone who wants an insight into how, and why, we buy things or change our habits in any way (The Financial Times Book of the Month The Financial Times)
From the Inside Flap
Over the past quarter-century, Seth Godin has inspired millions of entrepreneurs, leaders and fans from all walks of life. Now, for the first time, he offers the core of his marketing wisdom in one accessible, timeless package.
At the heart of his approach is a big idea: Great marketers don’t use consumers to solve their company’s problem; they use marketing to solve other people’s problems. They don’t just make noise; they make the world better. Truly powerful marketing is grounded in generosity, empathy, and emotional labour.
Learn how to identify the smallest viable audience, build trust and permission with your market, adopt the narratives your fans already use, find the guts to create and release tension and, most of all, give people the tools and stories they can use to achieve their goals.
It’s time to stop lying, spamming, and feeling guilty about your work. It’s time to stop confusing social media metrics with true connections. It’s time to stop wasting money on stolen attention that won’t pay off in the long run. It’s time to be seen first by learning how to see.

If I was to share a few simple truths with you, they’d be that I think everything happens for a reason, a cake can be eaten at any time of the day and I’ve always dreamed of living by the sea but seagulls get on my nerves. However, I also believe that in life, you should always be courageous. That’s why I started The Hampshire Wedding Club. I’ve been a wedding photographer for years and I adore how passionate my industry is and how inspiring the creative people around me are. Before I started my own photography company Ikonworks, I worked for international brands such as Verizon, Porsche, Game and Morgan Stanley for 16 years as an executive assistant. The perfect grounding for starting up and running my own show – multitasking, organising and attention to detail is in my DNA.
But here’s the thing, above all I subscribe to the mantra that doing what you love makes you happy. So seeing a gap in the wedding industry, I thought it was high time I started pulling together the fantastic creatives and professionals I’ve worked with. I wanted to create an interactive, inspiring and beautiful online portfolio for brides and grooms that not only showcases all the fabulous wedding industry talent we have in Hampshire but also acts as a revolutionary social space and digital lookbook for wedding creatives. That’s how The Hampshire Wedding Club was born.
When I am not shooting weddings, hosting events or running The Hampshire Wedding Club, I’m Tasha who is married to Martin and mum to Sam and Abby – our two lovely, funny, feisty kids. Most days you’ll find me surgically attached to my desk or curating love stories through a lens but I can often be found on the side of a rugby pitch or grabbing a quick coffee before going on a webinar. I can’t survive without coffee.
